چکیده
ABSTRACT: The bacteria Aeromonassp. are naturally reported in aquatic ecosystems and possess pathogenic potential, being considered as emerging pathogens humans animals. They also cause considerable losses fish farming and, through water, can contaminate numerous foods. This study quantified analyzed the antimicrobial resistance profile of fish. A total 72 samples two varieties (leather fish, Pseudoplatystomafasciatumx Leiariusmarmoratusand round Colossomamacropomumx Piaractusmesopotamicusand Piaractusbrachypomus) were purchased from types sources (fresh frozen) three commercial establishments (supermarket, market, fishmonger). 55 isolated Aeromonascultures evaluated for their by disc diffusion method. Upon quantification, count ranged 4.22 to 6.00 Log CFU/g; ten different species, including A. eucrenophila, hydrophila, caviae, media, jandaei, veroniibv. sobria, trota, schubertii, veronii, shigelloides, identified. Among isolates, 64.45% showed Ampicillin-sulbactam, 75% sensitive gentamicin ciprofloxacin. It was concluded that 100% contaminated Aeromonassp., which may present a risk consumer health since be etiological agents Foodborne Diseases. ampicillin multi-resistance classes antimicrobials, demonstrating problems with choosing an treatment any disease.

Shewanella putrefaciens – a new opportunistic pathogen of freshwater fish
In recent years, Shewanella putrefaciens, commonly known as a halophilic bacteria, has been associated with serious health disorders in freshwater fish. Therefore, it has been described as a new aetiological agent of the disease, named shewanellosis. S. putrefaciens is a heterogeneous group of microorganisms, belonging to the Alteromonadaceae family. Based on different criteria, three biovars a...

The emerging pathogen “Candida auris” is attracting considerable international attention due to its rising reports, transmission through health professionals, high rate of treatment failure and resistance to multiple antifungal agents, particularly fluconazole. In spite of the global emergence of C. auris, epidemiological data and true prevalence of infections due to this organism are not clear...
متن کاملIs Antimicrobial Resistance a Slowly Emerging Disaster?
The problem of antimicrobial resistance is so dire that people are predicting that the era of antibiotics may be coming to an end, ushering in a 'post-antibiotic' era. A comprehensive policy response is therefore urgently needed. A part of this response will require framing the problem in such a way that adequately reflects its nature as well as encompassing an approach that has the best prospe...
متن کاملMultiple antimicrobial resistance in Enterobacteriaceae isolates from pristine freshwater.
A freshwater enterobacterial population (N = 111) was studied for antimicrobial and mercury resistance patterns, and for its possible association with biotic and abiotic factors in that environment. Conventional biochemical tests identified Klebsiella sp, Morganella sp, Serratia sp, Escherichia sp, Enterobacter sp, Edwarsiella sp, Proteus sp, Citrobacter sp, Providencia sp, and Kluyvera sp. The...
متن کاملFirst isolation of Shewanella putrefaciens from freshwater fish – a potential new pathogen of fish
Bacterial isolates from common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) and rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) were identified by the API 20E system (bioMérieux). Twenty one isolates were identified as Shewanella putrefaciens. These isolates were tested for selected biochemical and cultural characteristics. Pathogenicity of two isolates (Pt38 and K116) for freshwater fish was assayed. Biochemical characteris...
